Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen;
I have been sewing since I was about 10. Odd things here and there. Mostly for my dolls. My mother taught me a few things. Took a class in High School. Pretty much a self taught sewer. In my 30's is when I started to appreciate Quilts. I started one for my Husband and I about 12 years ago. I have to complete rows done. It will be a KING when I am officially done..LOL
I have done a few lap quilts for Charity events and family members. I just finished a small one for my Grandson and working on another one for my Granddaughter. I have about several started and lose interest and then will go back to it. I buy fabric with a quilt in mind and never get to it.
So I joined Bonnie's Quiltville group about 6 months ago. I am so glad I found this group. It has given me the kick in the pants I needed to get those projects done.
I am attempting the Celtic Solstice Mystery Quilt. I am very excited to complete this one. For several reasons: One that I think it will get done. Second: my mother's family is from Ireland and Third: it will be nice tribute for my mother who I lost in 1999.
